Located in Maine’s northerly “Downeast,” halfway between Mount Desert National Park and Campobello Island, one mile into the Atlantic Ocean, you’ll find a 150-acre island hosting a one-of-a-kind artist residency program.

NORTON ISLAND RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOR WRITERS AND ARTISTS

Each summer, Norton Island hosts three sessions for thirty established artists, musicians, and writers to develop and share their work in an extraordinarily beautiful and remote wilderness setting.
 
The Eastern Frontier Educational Foundation is the IRC section 501(c)(3) exempt private operating foundation that funds and maintains the Norton Island Residency Program.
